What is Point-of-sale aerosol packing ?
'Pregassed' aerosol cans are currently available for
solvent based paints and consist of proprietary blends of
propellant and solvent in an aerosol can that allows for the
post addition of a solvent based paint.
A solvent based enamel or lacquer can be 'pumped' into
the pre-gassed can by the paint retailer with a specialised
hydraulic press.
Water based pregassed aerosol cans
Technology used to produce water based paints that are
subsequently aerosol packed is difficult to develop.
We have developed a broad expertise in water based
aerosol paint technology and we understand the key aspects
that need to be modified for it to be successfully aerosol
packed.
Stores are able to use their standard in-house tint
system to produce colors at the point of sale then add this
same paint to the pre-gassed aerosol can.
The Can-Tek formulation has been specifically developed
for maximum spray and performance and is patent pending.
